Natural Acne Treatment

If you are like most people, you are willing to do just about anything to get rid of your acne, but you don’t have the money to spend on the outrageously expensive prescription medications most doctors prescribe to treat acne. This leaves most people at a distinct disadvantage when it comes to treating their acne condition. They are mostly left to buy creams that only treat outbreaks instead of investing in products that might actually cure their acne outright. Here are a few extremely inexpensive acne treatments that you can make at home.

The first is a simple treatment that harnesses the power of citrus in the battle against acne. You will need one juice orange and a quarter of a cup of whole milk or half and half. First, take the orange and peel it. Second, take a few slices and squeeze out the juice. Take a q-tip or cotton ball and soak it in the freshly squeezed orange juice. Dab the cotton on your face, concentrating on the parts of the face most affected by acne. Please note that if any of your pimples have become open sores, the application of the fruit juice could sting a small bit.

Once you’ve applied the juice, take a few pieces of the orange rind and press them against your face, with the inside of the rind against your face. Rub the rind against your face so that a small amount of the inside skin rubs off. Let the orange juice and rind stay on your face for approximately 5-10 minutes.

The final step uses the whole milk or half and half. Take a small face cloth and submerge it in the milk. Then use the cloth to gently cleanse the face, removing all of the orange juice and rind from your face. Once you are finished, simply rinse your face off with water. You can repeat this treatment daily to help keep acne at bay.
