Acne

While scientists wrangle over the ultimate cause of acne in teenagers and adults, one of the most difficult things every acne sufferer has to figure out is what are the most common triggers for them personally. One thing that makes acne treatment so difficult is that what may be a common trigger in one person, like chocolate or a particular ingredient in shampoo, may not affect other people at all. Every acne sufferer plays a game of “find the trigger” once they realize they have an acne problem, but some people end up realizing that nature might just be the biggest trigger of them all.

For years, excessive exposure to sunlight has been thought of as a trigger for freckle outbreaks, but not so much pimples. But with the number of sensitive skin sufferers growing, the sun is raising its profile on the list of common acne triggers. For some, it takes excessive exposure, like during sunbathing for an outbreak to happen. But for many, it can be a simple walk in the park or a stroll down the street that causes pimples to form.

Luckily, there are all natural ways you can deal with the sun. Many health food stores sell sun block that comes from all natural ingredients, including aloe, that help the skin block the harmful ultra violet rays of the sun. You want to avoid traditional sun block, however. It plugs the pores on the skin and often contains many harmful chemicals that will likely inflame the exposed skin even worse. Many of these brands have been known to cause pimples in teenagers with sensitive skin, so they are to be avoided at all costs.

Of course, you can also take the easier route of making sure you wear a hat and sleeves when you head outside. But if you live in a climate that is quite warm during summer, it isn’t much of an option. All natural sun block is the only real alternative.
