Acne

One of the great things about taking an all natural, holistic approach to skin care is that you suddenly realize you are saving a boat load of cash. The all natural skin care movement is growing more and more popular every year, not only because of the money saved, but also the knowledge that you are treating your body right with natural ingredients instead of man made chemicals. But there are a few common sense steps you can take to keep your skin in top shape and they are absolutely free!

It is one of the most often repeated tips you hear when it comes to dealing with acne, but avoiding touching your face and other parts of your skin that are rife with acne is absolutely vital. Even if you wash your hands every hour, the fingers are often the dirtiest part of the human body. They are covered in grease, germs and dirt that gets easily transferred to your face or any other part of your body that has pimples. This dirt and oil clogs up your pores and before you know it, you’ve got an outbreak. Of course, it is impossible to completely avoiding touching your skin, especially if you have to put a pair of glasses on multiple times a day or if you have an itch, but making a conscious effort to avoid touching your face is the least expensive and most effective way to reduce outbreaks.

Another common sense tip that is low in cost and high in performance is a haircut. If you have long hair that hangs in your face, chances are, it is contributing to your acne breakouts. Teenagers especially have hair that gets very greasy and dirty in only a few hours. If that hair is touching or rubbing against your face for long periods of time, it will almost certainly cause an outbreak.
