When most people sit down and try to analyze what is causing their acne, they often begin the thought process with what they aren’t putting on their skin. Maybe if they try the latest chemical laden cream from that commercial, their pimples will go away. But often times, what is causing your acne outbreaks are things you are putting on your skin that is inflaming your pores.
To get to the bottom of this mystery, make a list of everything that touches your face each and every day. If you wear makeup, make a list of each type of makeup you wear and which ones you apply to areas that break out most often. Then, head to your local make up counter and find all natural equivalent to the make up you currently use. While the cosmetic industry hasn’t come around quite as quickly as the food and clothing industry when it comes to all natural alternatives, many major companies offer products that are pure and don’t inflame the skin. Chances are, you will find a serious reduction in acne and other bothersome skin conditions thanks to this minor change.
For many others that have sensitive skin, the main cause is actually the cure! Almost all over the counter, brand name acne creams, gels and washes contain harsh, skin-damaging chemicals. Even if you follow the dosing recommendations on the back of the tube or container to the letter, you might have skin that is too sensitive for the active ingredients to work properly. Try replacing these harsh chemical creams with all natural cleansers and a sound cleaning regimen that doesn’t try out your skin. If you want to try more potent chemicals, consult with your pharmacist about which brands are the best for sensitive skin. Remember, often times, heavy chemicals damage young, susceptible skin more often than not.
